How I Use a Functional Reading Journal
Reading Journals are quite personal. Some people let their creativity flow and they print and cut out book covers and write up handwritten reviews. Some people draw out their monthly themes a la the current bullet journal style and it looks stunning. But that takes a lot of time (and skill!) that I don't have right now in my life. So I use a functional reading journal that I can reuse in creative ways and track the books I want to read and the books I have already read.
The journal I’m currently using is an Archer & Olive bullet journal (size A5 with 160 gsm) and my favorite pen is the uniball jetstream .38 pen.
And of course, the sticky notes are crucial for how I use this Reading Journal to track my reading progress. I have purchase a lot of my seasonal sticky notes from small planner shops but you can find beautiful, themed sticky notes at Jet Pens HERE .
Jet Pens offers free shipping in the U.S. for orders over $35 and I don’t usually have trouble meeting that threshold after I’ve looked through their online catalogue for just ten minutes :)
You could also choose to purchase a bullet journal from their selection HERE which would help you meet that $35 requirement.
