Recollections Unicorn Spiral Planner
The planner community is now releasing 18 month Academic Planners to span July 2017 through December 2018. As such, the Michael’s Recollection brand planners are back on the shelves! Unicorns are popular so I have shared a review and flip through on my Youtube Channel on the Recollections Unicorn Spiral Planner. So here is the corresponding blog review.
How It Looks:
The cover has quite a bit of sparkle (you can’t see the unicorn silhouette as well as the rainbow). The cover also contains many minuscule beads to add to the shaker dashboard feel of this cover.
The day these came out, I found a Unicorn Spiral Planner in Michael’s with a split plastic seam at the bottom. All the beads were falling out and spilling everywhere.
Since the shaker dashboard cover is not common in the spiral planners, we will see how this first attempt holds up over time and use…
Flip-Through Inside the Recollections Unicorn Spiral Planner:
The color scheme is pastel and bright, which seems to be appropriate for a younger demographic.
Where the Recollections brand can’t compete:
The Recollections brand paper is not as luscious and thick as the more expensive Erin Condren spiral/coil-bound Life Planners.
What the Recollections brand does well:
The folders in the back are durable and thick. They are solid attributes of this brand. Also, the plastic, sealable pouch in the back is functional and a nice addition. So it is another solid attribute of this brand. There are also three pages of stickers included in the back of the planner.
The Selling Point:
At the $14 sale price point, the Recollections brand planners are a force to be reckoned with, to be sure!
The Bottom Line:
Despite the potential trouble with the shaker dashboard cover and the ‘young’ color scheme, the phenomenal price point combined with unicorns, rainbows, and sparkles make this a solid option that will most likely be a popular choice among the planner community!
