How I Use A Mini Happy Planner as a Personal Journal

Journaling is a helpful way to process feelings, track your emotional well-being (or whatever else you’d like to track), and to do memory-keeping. The Mini Happy Planner is a compact but pretty way to journal a bit each day.

Here is how I use the Mini Happy Planner as my personal, daily journal:

There are some supplies I like to use for journaling in my Happy Planner Mini.

(Disclosure: Some of these are affiliate links which means that (at no additional cost to you, of course!) sales made through these links could benefit my family.)

Deluxe Cover for the Happy Planner Mini: I like the structure that the deluxe covers give to the Happy Planners so I used a coupon at Michael’s to get one at a discount price.

Papermate Flair Pens: These pens are great for journaling and hand lettering. They don’t bleed and they have fairly fine point.

Tombow Tape Runner: I use this to adhere my “junk  journaling” pieces. So this makes my journaling process a bit more creative.

Happy Planner Mini Folders: I made my folders by cutting down the Classic Happy Planner size but they now sell the mini size.

I don’t embellish my mini happy planner journal as much as I do on some of my other planners. However, for my June birthday month, I did add embellishments and stickers from these shops:
Planner Mania: She has a huge variety of hand-drawn stickers and sells a few sticker kits (one of which is the mini happy planner kit I am using in June).

All Day Every Day Mom: This is where I bought my date covers for the monthly spreads.

The Happy Marigold: Tiffany has THE BEST art journaling pretties! Many of them a in a vintage style.

Glitter and Chai: She sells the “grumpy bear” stickers

Sparkly Paper Co: She sells tickers and die cuts.

Washi tape: I love washi tape!
